Safety & Security Administration
Criminal Justice professionals work in both public and private sectors to insure the safety of and provide security for all members of the community. PTI offers its Criminal Justice program in two ways: as an on-ground program and as an online program. You choose the class format and schedule that best fits your lifestyle and learning style.
  

Why PTI for Safety and Security Administration?

  • On-site MILO Range Pro judgmental training system presents interactive use-of-force and firearms simulations. Think of it as a life-size, virtual reality trainer.
  • Crime scene simulations on campus develop your hands-on experience.
  • Field trips to police departments, courthouses and other public and private security firms open the door to Safety and Security in action.
  • You can prepare for Act 235 Certification through a partnership with a local shooting academy in order to earn your right to to carry a lethal weapon as a condition of employment.
  • Certifications can set you apart. Work on your Public Safety Telecommunicator 1 certification from APCO, the Association of Public Safety Communications Officials; your Professional Security Training Network Supervisor Excellence, a private security certification; and your Non-Crisis Intervention Certificate, from the Crisis Prevention Institute.
  • Select business management courses prepare you to climb the career ladder.
  • Instructors who worked or continue to work in the field understand what it takes to be successful.
  • An advisory board of industry professionals guides curriculum so you learn what you need.

Requirements
An interest in Criminal Justice and your high school diploma. No diploma? We accept GED recipients, too. Ask us how you can earn yours. You also need to pass a required background check. Schedule an appointment to meet with an admissions coordinator and take a tour.

Schedule
Just 21 months to earn your Associate in Science Degree in Safety and Security Administration, or 24 months for an online degree -- including your 3 month industry internship/practicum.
