Medical Coding
Recognizing that many adults are looking for a way to squeeze school and career preparation into a hectic schedule or pursue learning from a distance, PTI offers its Medical Coding program in two ways: as an on-ground program and as an online program. You choose the class format and schedule that best fits your lifestyle and learning style.
PTI's on-ground Medical Coding program follows a consistent class schedule that affords students the opportunity to meet classmates and instructors face-to-face. This regulated schedule provides students with a framework to make arrangements for work responsibilities, transportation, and day care or senior care.
Medical Coding Specialists translate verbal descriptions of diseases, injuries, and procedures into codes. At the completion of the program; students can sit for the national coding examination for either physicians' offices or hospitals.
