After 30 years working in a coal mine, an injury caused Chris to rethink his profession. Although going back to school was a scary thought, his visit to PTI solidified the decision. He found that his fellow students were always willing to help him and “patient with his lack of knowledge.” Now he works in electrical design coordinating the electrical systems with other major trades in the planning of new buildings like ballparks and hospitals. His ability to design in 3-D is especially useful in helping the workers get a better idea of what the project will look like when it’s complete.

I don’t have one. I listen to the Burgh’s rock and roll station online. - When I think of PTI, I think of learning to do homework again after being out of school so long.
- My dream vacation is retiring to State College, PA, and building the log home I designed.
- "PTI helped me learn about what was out there and how to go and get it."
