Amanda always did well in the drafting classes in high school and decided to pursue it as a career. Now she designs railing systems and information kiosks, as well as furniture and signage. She also manages all of her projects including a year-long custom railing project. Some of the custom products that Amanda has designed for her clients have become standard offerings by her company.

• My favorite memory of PTI is our gravity car project. The car turned out to be the furthest thing away from what we imagined it would be, but it performed amazingly. We won the distance, speed and agility contests.
• You’d never believe it but I’m a big fan of Chef Ramsay. I watch "Hell's Kitchen" and "Kitchen Nightmares." I even watch the British version of "Kitchen Nightmares" on BBC America.
• When I want to relax I watch a movie. I’m a big movie buff. I worked in a theater for five years.
• I never thought I would be so happy in life and certainly not so early on. I love my job. I have a decent house, a good car, and a wonderful boyfriend (who I met at PTI). I have weekends off and vacation time! I have all of the securities that I always imagined I would have to struggle to achieve.
• "PTI helped me get through school. I had some financial difficulty early on but they helped me figure everything out to make it affordable for me. The support I received at PTI was absolutely priceless."
