It was a very healthy week at PTI as the Human Resources Department sponsored Health and Wellness Week that included seminars in Stress Management, Becoming Fruit & Veggie Savvy, a Health Screening Test, and a Wellness Profile with the Highmark Direct Truck on campus.

Slip Slidin’ Away

PTI held its annual Backyard Bash on the campus grounds Tuesday. Over 300 students both new and returning attended the outing to meet new people, see friends after break and cool off from the heat.

Winter Portfolio Show Dazzles

Appreciative crowds gathered at PTI Thursday night for the Winter 2014 Portfolio show. This highly anticipated event is the showcase for graduating Design students to present their portfolios of work to the public. Over 31 graduating students participated and were judged in the categories of Graphic Design, Video/3D Design, and Web/Interactive Design.

PTI Travelogue Show 2014 - San Francisco “The City by the Bay”

38 of PTI’s Hospitality Management students hopped a plane and flew cross country to explore the “The City by the Bay.”  Arriving in San Francisco with little or no sleep – it was an early flight and the first plane ride for more than half of this group – they set out to tackle the challenges issued by instructors Mev Spain and Mark Bellemare. First up: Chinatown.  The challenge: Find your way there, and eat an ethnic delicacy that’s new to you.  For the first time students tasted Chinese BBQ, squid, and, for the bravest and most daring in the class, chicken feet.

PTI Santa Project

PTI students and teachers and staff joined together to help those in need this Christmas with the annual Santa Project. The project is designed to provide toys, clothing and essentials to children and families throughout the community. The PTI Gallery was like Santa’s workshop as presents were wrapped and bags were filled while Christmas music played in the background.

Holiday Bash Rocks PTI

PTI Students had a blast Thursday night at the annual Holiday Bash. This is the first year  the party has been held at the PTI campus rather than a hotel and students thought it was great because it was FREE.
