Lincoln Electric, a major US company with more than 40 manufacturing locations and a worldwide sales presence held a full day information session with electronics students at PTI this week. The session featured representatives Seth Mason, Doug Leiby, James McClurg and Randy Boyer who spent the day discussing the state of the industry and opportunities for PTI graduates in the field.

After careful consideration, winning entries from 21 students were selected as this year's winners. The students submitting them receive a PTI partial tuition scholarship that can be applied toward their college education beginning July 2014, October 2014 or January 2015

Winter Portfolio Show Dazzles

Appreciative crowds gathered at PTI Thursday night for the Winter 2014 Portfolio show. This highly anticipated event is the showcase for graduating Design students to present their portfolios of work to the public. Over 31 graduating students participated and were judged in the categories of Graphic Design, Video/3D Design, and Web/Interactive Design.

PTI Travelogue Show 2014 - San Francisco “The City by the Bay”

38 of PTI’s Hospitality Management students hopped a plane and flew cross country to explore the “The City by the Bay.”  Arriving in San Francisco with little or no sleep – it was an early flight and the first plane ride for more than half of this group – they set out to tackle the challenges issued by instructors Mev Spain and Mark Bellemare. First up: Chinatown.  The challenge: Find your way there, and eat an ethnic delicacy that’s new to you.  For the first time students tasted Chinese BBQ, squid, and, for the bravest and most daring in the class, chicken feet.
