Linda George teaches English composition and speech to students in all PTI disciplines. Knowing that her courses are not on the top of the My Favorites list for most students, she uses realism and humor to bring life and excitement to her classroom. As a result students enjoy learning about run on sentences, fragments, orphans, and misplaced or missing commas and become better writers and communicators.

Making Friends at Community Days

PTI made a lot of kids happy at Community Days August 1. Fourteen PTI students participated in the North Fayette event held at Donaldson Park by manning a booth just for kids. They played games, gave out prizes and made a lot of new friends.

Easy Ride to Help Kids

 On Aug. 2, a number of PTI students joined more than 200 participants and 45 volunteers in a Ride for Kids to support the Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation. The ride is part of a national motorcycle event that raises awareness and needed funds for the more than 28,000 children in the United States who are living with the diagnosis of a brain tumor.
