Creative Treehouse - Jesse

Jesse H. graduated from PTI’s Multimedia Technologies program in 2004 and began working as a multimedia designer. His passion for the arts, both traditional and digital, inspired him to build The Creative Treehouse, literally from the ground up.

A shared studio and an art and music meeting place for artists of all mediums to work, collaborate and grow professionally, the Treehouse is a members-only organization that hosts special events, like art shows and workshops, for the public.

Jesse says the Treehouse is “like myspace in a building.”

Jesse worked with one of his former PTI instructors in creating the Treehouse.  Prior to becoming a student at PTI, Jesse already had a basic knowledge of video, web and some 3D work.  He notes, “one of the greatest things at PTI was that the teachers recognized this and pushed me harder.  They would never let me settle and made sure I was challenged.”  This drive to take things to the next level helped Jesse decide to build the Creative Treehouse.

Located in the second floor of an 1870s building in Bellevue, one of Pittsburgh’s northern suburbs, the Treehouse encourages creativity and features a dark room, photography studio, educational center, meeting cubicles and a lounge area.

Jesse hopes to see the Treehouse duplicated nationally. Interest has already been expressed in several cities.
