Citizens Police Academy

CITIZEN’S POLICE ACADEMY OF ALLEGHENY COUNTY Oakdale, PA -- The PA State Police in partnership with Pittsburgh Technical Institute presents the Citizen’s Police Academy of Allegheny County (CPA). The CPA is a 12-week program designed to expose selected Allegheny County citizens to the world of the police officer, the types of training officers receive and general law enforcement concepts and responsibilities. It is a forum for understanding and communications between citizens and police officers.
Anyone who is interested must be at least 18 years of age, a resident of Allegheny County, and not possess a criminal history. (A background criminal check will be conducted.) Class size is limited so it will be first come, first served for the selection process.
DATES: Tuesday, October 27, 2009, through Tuesday, January 26, 2010.
Participants will meet every Tuesday night from 7:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. at the PTI's North Fayette Campus for 12 weeks
