You’re not a prospective student, a current student, or a graduate. But you are a member of PTI’s community. You are important to us so we’re giving you a quick path to the information you need.

This is where parents, employers, counselors and teachers, or anyone interested in finding their way to campus can find what they’re looking for.

Parents

We have a place especially for you. In the Parent Center you can find financial aid and housing information, take a tour of campus and its surroundings, and schedule a visit. We even provide directions and suggest local hotels for overnight accommodations. The Parent Center is a good place to start if someone in your family is considering a PTI education.

Employers

Here are quick links to the information you’re looking for. If what you need isn’t on this list use the Search bar in the right-hand corner of this page or contact the Career Services Department. A member of our staff would be happy to help, maybe even make a personal visit.

• Employer Services
  From screening resumes to scheduling interviews and coordinating internships, PTI’s Career Services Department goes to work for employers at no cost. Check out our list of employer services.
• Career Connect
  You never know when you will need your next employee. If you’re in a hurry to find the right candidate for your job, use Career Connect – any time, any day – to post your opening and preview PTI graduate resumes.
• Events
  Job Fairs and Portfolio Shows are efficient ways of meeting a wide array of PTI candidates for positions you may have or anticipate within your company. Find out what events on the horizon or contact Career Services directly to express your interest.
• Certification Preparation
  PTI’s Center for Certification and Adult Learning offers Microsoft and IT certification programs in the evening for working professionals.
• Customized Training
  PTI can design single or multiple session customized training utilizing our instructional expertise either on our campus or at your site. Let us know what you need and we can propose a customized program for your review. Contact Susan Polick at polick.susan@pti.edu or 724.741.1032 in the Center for Certification and Adult Learning.
• Pearson Vue Testing
  PTI is an official Pearson Vue Testing site.

Counselors and Teachers

Every year PTI hosts a series of workshops, free to high school teachers and counselors. Topics can be software based or focus on classroom instruction. They change every year based on the feedback we receive. One thing doesn’t change: sessions often fill to capacity.

  Interested students can apply online – There’s no application fee! – and find the documents they need to complete the admissions process.
• Virtual Tour
  Never visited PTI’s campus? Now you can come up our driveway, walk through the visitor’s entrance and check out our specialty labs and student areas, all without leaving your high school office using our 360° virtual tour.
• Graduate Profiles
  Check out our graduate profiles. You may find one of your former students!

• Articulation and Transfer of Credit
  PTI’s Coordinator of Articulation can work with you to help transfer the credits of a PTI graduate into one of your college or university programs. Contact Lainey Becker at becker.lainey@pti.edu or 412.809.5212 or 1.800.784.9675, ext. 5212.
• Accreditation
  PTI is accredited by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education. Additionally our Medical Assisting program and Surgical Technology program are accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Program (CAAHEP) upon the respective recommendations of the Curriculum Review Board of the American Association of Medical Assistants Endowment (CRB-AAMAE) and the Accreditation Review Committee Surgical Technology (ARC-ST).
