ALS Ice Bucket Challenge

Hey guys!  I’m here to remind everyone about the ALS ice bucket challenge.

For anyone who doesn’t know what ALS, also known as Lou Gehrig’s disease, is, it’s a progressive neurodegenerative disease that affects nerve cells in the brain and the spinal cord, causing them to die.  Without these motor neurons, people are unable to walk, eat, talk, and breathe.  It’s a fatal disease with no cure, but with the money the ice bucket challenge can raise, we can help find a cure and bring back the strength to the victims of ALS.

Now for the challenge.  If someone is challenged, they have two options.  One, they accept it and are taped having a bucket of ice water poured on them; or second, if they don’t accept the challenge, then they donate money to ALS.  The ice bucket challenge has already raised $16 million for ALS, but I think we can reach even higher numbers.  I encourage all of you who are reading to take the challenge and/or donate.  PTI is holding this challenge all week at 12:30 in the pavilion, in front of the 4th floor student entrance.  I’m definitely going to try to attend, and I hope to see some of your taped challenge acceptances as well!  Yeah!  Let's go get ice dumped on our warm bodies!

Thank you for reading!  Kit-Kat out!
