Career Services focuses on helping graduates land positions relating to their PTI field of study.

An internship is an integral part of all associate degree and some certificate programs at PTI. Career Services works with each student to find the right company and the right assignment in the right location. Internships can lead to full-time employment and are a great source of job referrals.

If you need to work while going to school, your first stop should be Career Services – even as early as New Student Orientation. Applications for local businesses are available in one spot. Career Services can help you get the interview and follow-up afterward. Employers often recruit on-site to let students know about immediate hiring in the local community.

Employers can count on Career Services to schedule interviews – at the employer’s job site or on PTI's campus.

If it’s more convenient, companies can schedule large presentations, group interviews or individual sessions right on PTI’s North Fayette Campus.

Some positions require more experienced graduates. The Alumni Coordinator in Career Services is in touch with graduates locally and across the country and can get the word out to alumni considering a change of venue.

Internships are a great way to “test drive” potential candidates – and for candidates to get an up-close-and-personal look inside companies. A win-win situation for both the employer and the graduate, Career Services coordinates internship assignments, manages the paperwork, and monitors student progress.
