Meet Chef Donald Hutchins

Chef Donald Hutchins joins Pittsburgh Technical Institute with over 37 years of foodservice hospitality experience from all over the country. This experience includes private catering, resort, country club, freestanding independent restaurants, consulting, healthcare, hotel and institutional foodservice. Additionally Chef Hutchins has nearly two decades of educational expertise.
As a standing member of The American Culinary Federation Chef Hutchins has achieved both the Certified Executive Chef and Certified Culinary Educator distinction. Additionally he is certified through The National Restaurant Association as Foodservice Management Professional and inducted into Eta Sigma Delta-International Hospitality and Tourism Management Honor Society.

Mardi Gras at AACA

It was just like Bourbon Street in the kitchens of the American Academy of Culinary Arts on Saturday February 21. Chef Hart and his students hosted the Chaine Des Rotisseurs society for a Mardi Gras gourmet brunch that would make any gourmand from the Big Easy proud.
