It was just like Bourbon Street in the kitchens of the American Academy of Culinary Arts on Saturday February 21. Chef Hart and his students hosted the Chaine Des Rotisseurs society for a Mardi Gras gourmet brunch that would make any gourmand from the Big Easy proud.
The American Academy of Culinary Arts is sponsoring a series of competitions for culinary students. The Great American Chef Cookoff is the first in a series of competitive events to bring the future great American chefs together to compete for scholarships at the American Academy of Culinary Arts.
The first event is a cookoff competition for High School Seniors in the region’s High School Culinary Schools.
The event will pair teams of two students from each school to compete for scholarships at AACA. To enter, Instructors should contact the American Academy of Culinary Arts at
412-809-5381 to register their teams. The competitions will take place at the new American Academy of Culinary Arts Culinary Center at PTI 1111 McKee Road in Oakdale.
